30. September 2026 AI labelling directly in the Composer
AI-generated content must be labelled under the EU AI Act. For Instagram, you can now do that directly in the Composer: you mark your Instagram post as AI-generated before you publish it, and Swat.io takes care of the rest.
How it works
A new toggle in the advanced post settings.
Open a post for Instagram in the Composer and scroll down to the advanced post settings. In the AI content section, you’ll find the toggle „Mark as AI-generated“.
- The toggle applies to the whole post, not to individual images.
- For carousels with multiple images, Swat.io automatically applies the label to every image in the post.
- When you publish, Swat.io sends this information to Instagram. Instagram then shows the label directly on the post.
Note: Due to API limitations of the other networks, Swat.io currently only supports this labelling for Instagram. As soon as other networks enable this in their APIs, we’ll build it for them too.

Your benefit
You no longer have to switch between Swat.io and Instagram to add the label, and you won’t risk forgetting it. You take care of this compliance requirement in the same step where you create the post, with no extra tool and no extra steps after publishing.
