Alternative Texts for Instagram Posts

Instagram’s API finally supports alternative text for images via tools like Swat.io!

Alt text plays a key role in digital accessibility — it helps ensure that people with disabilities can access your content without barriers.

But that’s not all: alt text is also beneficial for SEO.
Search engines use it to better understand your content and decide what’s relevant to search queries. In short: adding alt text to your images is always a good idea — it improves accessibility and can boost your reach!

How can I add alt texts?

As soon as you upload one or more images to Swat.io, a text box will appear  for each image where you can enter the alt text.

• The text can contain up to 1,000 characters.
• Emojis are not supported.
• Alt text is only available for images; this feature is not supported for Reels or Stories.
