The Threads API options in detail

As is often the case, the official Threads API offers a lot, but not everything is possible. However, you can use all functions supported by the API within Swat.io.

Posts

You can create and publish text, image and video posts for Threads in Swat.io.

Specifications:

Text:

max. 500 characters (including spaces and links)

Image:

Format: JPEG, PNG
Max. 8MB
Upload of max. 10 images

Video:

All video formats
Max. 100MB
Upload of max. 10 videos

Functions in the Publisher

Hashtags (topics):

You can add one hashtag to each post, and it will automatically display as a hyperlink. Simply type # followed by the desired topic. If you include multiple hashtags, only the first one will be linked, while the others will appear as regular text.

Web links:

Several links can be added per post. However, only the first link in text posts will be displayed as a preview card.

Mentions:

You can mention users in your posts by using @ followed by their username.. Please make sure that the username is spelled correctly.

First comment:

You can also publish a first comment directly with each post. This comment can contain text and can also include mentions, hashtags or links.

What the API does not allow:

Posting polls
Deleting posts after publication

Comments

Manage all comments on your Threads posts directly in the Inbox, where they will be displayed as usual. You can write text, image and video comments via Swat.io and include mentions, hashtags and links.

You can also hide comments via Swat.io.
