New heatmaps for best time to post & reaction time

You think your community is mostly asleep at 6 am and doesn’t wake up until around 6 pm. But do you actually know that, or are you just guessing? And how fast does your team really respond when things get busy? That’s exactly what two new heatmap widgets in Insights are for.

How it works

Active users heatmap:
This widget shows you when your community commented the most during the selected time period, broken down by day of week and time of day. Each cell in the grid (Mon to Sun, 0 to 23) is color-coded, from light for low activity to dark blue for the most active time slots. This gives you suggestions for good posting times, based on real user data.

Note: This feature is available to all users on M plans and above, in Explorer, on the Audience page, or as a widget in Advanced and Premium Insights.

Response time heatmap:
Same principle, different metric: here you see how quickly your team responds to comments on average, also sorted by day of week and time of day. This lets you spot at a glance when response times increase, so you can dig into why and find the right solution.

Good to know:

The data basis for both heatmaps is audience comments only, your own team’s comments aren’t included in Active Users.

Your benefit

No more guessing when you should post or when your team needs to work on response times. The heatmaps show you patterns that get lost in individual numbers.

And this is just the first step: next, we’re planning to combine user activity with post slots… 🤫 Stay tuned!
